More and more kids are getting injuries from football. Could Americas most popular sport be too dangerous?Paragraph 1 (Topic)Football can be a very dangerous sport. Risk of injury in football maybe too prominent. However, many people play football regardless of any risks. This brings up a question, should kids play football? Concussions received in football happen often. They can also cause life-changing side effects. As well-liked as football is, some of the consequences of playing it are major. Kids shouldn't play football because the chance of getting a concussion is too great.Paragraph 2 (Supporting Details)There are many reasons why kids shouldn't play football. First of all, tens of thousands of youth players get concussions. The largest youth league in the United States dropped 9.5% from 2010 to 2012 because of concussions. These injuries can cause lifelong pain, memory lapses, aggression, depression, and personality changes. In fact, multiple concussions can cause death. As a result of multiple concussions, 8 NFL players have committed suicide and have since been diagnosed with (CTE) Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. As a result, kids shouldn't play football.Paragraph 3 (Other Side)However, many people argue that kids should play football. For example, some claim that football develops discipline, friendship, and teamwork. In addition, playing football helps keep kids physically active.
