Why did the application of missouri territory for statehood cause two years of intense debate?

The main issue is SLAVERY. If Missouri is approved as a state, there would be more states that practices slavery or ownership of slaves than there are none. 

They wanted to keep the number of slave states and free states equal. Initially, there were 11 slave states and 11 free states. If Missouri is accepted as a state, there would now be 12 slave states. Government leaders fear that the balance of power would be in favor of those slave states and they will have a run on the federal government.  These concerns were solved under the Missouri Compromise and Missouri became a slave state in 1821.

If we perceive our body as too fat even though our body is not we might diet until we think we aren't fat and if we perceive our body as too thin we might binge eat until we think we are average weight ( not too thin and not too fat )
