Allison is interested in collecting data on how student behaviour differs with respect to acceptance of peaceful solutions to a domestic problem after attending a "peace in the family workshop". allison knows that she would like to use a pretest/post-test design (within design) in her study but doesn't know how to implement it. allison design her study.

First of all, Allison should verify some sort of cultural features among students' families, and second; what  the sudents' ages are. You see, some families tend to have one person playing the highest authority among members, and this happens for many reasons, that's why the cultural approach is so important. In southamerica, for instance, the grandmother, mostly on mother's size, tends to be that person, so the family problem will be discussed (and perhaps solved) from that grandmother's perspective. In that case, she is the one to reach out for gathering the familiy over the workshop. With respect of the age, adults tend to be more open to attend to these workshops but, again, it will depend of cultural features such as ethnicity. I would suggest to get a brief about that before talking to the student.
